Venus is one of Nonami Takizawa's earlier videos, which is part of a two-part series called the 'Graduation Diary'. Nonami is eighteen in these videos, and throughout is simply cute as a button. They were filmed at Saipan Island with Pure (not to be confused with Pure Smile) being filmed on the first day and Venus being filmed on the second.
The first scene to Venus is basically a costume show with Nonami as our model. She tries on various costumes from pink dresses to swimsuit to golf caddy to green skirt, and finally, to a stunning purple dress. Nonami is mostly playful in this scene and she is trying to be cute, so there is little sex appeal. Nonami of course will lean forward throughout the scene in order to show off her cleavage. All of the outfits that she tried on showed off her incredible figure, and just goes to prove that Nonami is a girl that can look great in just about anything.
Afterwards, is a short scene where Nonami, while in the same bikini as earlier rolls around in the bed. This scene also has very little sex appeal because of the blanket that she keeps wrapped around her most of the time.
In this scene, Nonami wakes up from bed, stretches and yawns. After, she walks into the restroom and brushes her teeth. Then she begins combing and playing with her hair. Once again, there is no sex appeal to this scene at all. The nightgown that she is wearing is a baggy one-piece that does everything it can to obstruct any sex appeal Nonami has. After she fixes her hair, she grabs a swimsuit from her closet and heads to the beach.
This scene was a major let down. Nonami prances onto the beach wearing a bathing suit that looks like it is just about her size (as opposed to wearing one several sizes too small), and plays around with the camera. The scene quickly becomes repetitive, as she runs around the camera. It seems like the director ran out of ideas, so she just repeats the same few things over and over.
In this scene, the director continues to go the route of showing as little skin of Nonami as possible. Nonami is wearing a Japanese schoolgirl uniform, and throughout the scene, absolutely nothing risque is hinted at. There is even a shirt underneath her schoolgirl's top for the occasional times that the shirt will accidentally slip. Nonami walks on a log, talks; however, there is no audio. At the end she is holding a basketball which leads us into our next scene.
In this part, Nonami is playing basketball under a foggy, grey sky while wearing a standard, Japanese sports uniform. She plays offensively with the camera, then shoots-- and misses. She misses a lot. Afterward, she looks tired and drinks a bottle of water. Avoiding all idol stereotypes, she manages to drink without spilling any of the water onto her shirt.
This scene begins with Nonami wearing the same green dress that was in the dress-up feature earlier. Within a minute, she takes it off to reveal a red bikini. She smells a flower, blows some bubbles, then jumps in the pool. The camera then follows her around the pool from both above and below, and you see her breasts wobble underwater.
Next is a quick, and pretty lame shower scene. Nonami showers, hardly touches her own body, then dries up.
After what has been a pretty mild thirty minutes or so, these last two scenes are this video's only saving grace. In the first scene, nonami is wearing the same stunning purple dress that she wore in the dress-up sequence. She looks absolutely voluptuous; however, the scene is very short-- over within maybe two minutes at most.
And now for the best scene in the video. Nonami lying on a beach towel while wearing a red and white striped mini-tanktop, no bra, and some short jeans. She squishes her breasts up against the ground and wiggles around on the towel She then acts like she is swimming, with her breasts pressing against the ground. The camera is looking up her tank-top, and the view of Nonami's bust is absolutely superb.
Nonami then puts on a yellow hoody, but leaves it mostly unzipped. She plays hide and seek with the camera for a while, and runs around the trees.
For the final scene of the movie, Nonami-chan rides around on a bicycle with an occasional tree obstructing our line of sight. After riding around for a few minutes, her and the bicycle get in the back of a truck and the credits roll.
The special features of this DVD is everything one would expect from an idol video. Nonami talks about her graduation for a good five or so minutes. Then we see some of the video in the making, you see some stops they made, such as a restaurant and a bowling alley, and Nonami shops and buys a couple of nicknacks.
My biggest problem with Venus is that it is an exceptionally bad value. It is a full priced package, but feels like something that should be budget priced. The entire feature presentation is only 35 minutes in length, and the first half hour of those 35 minutes drag and bore beyond belief. As for what is good about Venus, there are very few redeeming factors from Venus. Only the final two scenes of the feature presentation I fully enjoyed. The reason the video is so disappointing is because I know Nonami is capable of much more, and I blame the shortcomings of this movie on the director. Nonami is still voluptuous, but there are many better videos to see her in.
